In this class Julia will introduce you to the food of New Orleans which is a melting pot of French, African and American cultures. In this class you will learn how to prepare prawn gumbo, an authentic creole soup/stew which will warm you up on a cold winter day. We will also make Cajun pulled pork with homemade BBQ sauce and slaw. To round out the meal we will make beignets, a fried choux pastry, with a salted caramel dipping sauce.
