Christmas baking is underway! Fruit mince tarts would have to be my all-time favourite Christmas treat. The buttery, melt-in-the-mouth pastry filled with deliciously spiced fruit…what’s not to love?! What’s your favourite Christmas treat?

I’m preparing a few trays today, up to the point before they’re baked, which I’ll pop in the freezer so they’re ready to bake when I need them. I’ll bake them straight from the freezer but I’ll add a few extra minutes to the baking time.

Catching our breath in the stunning Atlas Mountain

Catching our breath in the stunning Atlas Mountains! The higher peaks had been dusted with snow just a few days before we arrived, adding to the drama of this beautiful landscape.

This is the perfect place to take a couple of days to relax after the hustle and bustle of the city. We hiked in the mountains and local villages, had a hammam (traditional Moroccan steam bath and scrub), and breathed in the fresh mountain air.
It’s always hard to leave this gorgeous place but the sights and sounds of Marrakech are beckoning!
